Position Overview:
As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, providing patients with a comfortable, professional, and supportive experience. This role combines technical expertise with patient-centered care, guiding patients through each step of their mammography exams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality mammography exams on incoming patients and accurately log procedures in the RIS system.
Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical concerns and respond appropriately.
Provide clear guidance to patients, addressing questions and explaining the mammography process in a kind, reassuring manner.
Assist physicians during procedures, including biopsies, and respond to clinical questions.
Participate in quality control, projects, and team meetings as assigned by management.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards.
Job Requirements:
Ability to independently perform mammography exams and procedures with high-quality results.
ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(M) a plus.
California state licenses in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
Current CPR certification.
Minimum of 6 months recent experience performing tomo mammography.
Willingness to learn new systems and workflows.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Demands:
Walking, sitting, standing, bending, and light lifting as needed to perform all patient care and technical functions.
Good perceptual acuity and physical ability to perform direct and indirect patient care functions.
Hours:
Preferred:
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Per diem schedule may be considered
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
