The Virtual Care Nurse is a central resource in delivering high‑quality remote patient care. The role requires advanced clinical judgment, technical proficiency, and strong communication to coordinate timely, safe, and effective care for patients in the remote care program.

• Use monitoring, assessment, planning, intervention, and critical thinking skills to care for acute patients in a virtual program.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to assess patient status and adjust care plans promptly.
• Conduct virtual visits, plan individualized care with interdisciplinary teams, implement referrals, and initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with the virtual care team to implement workflows, policies, and evidence‑based protocols.
• Delegate tasks related to patient care while retaining accountability for outcomes.
• Facilitate new patient admissions and manage intake processes in accordance with guidelines.
• Document nursing process components accurately to ensure safety, comfort, and hygiene of patients.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• California RN License required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS) required.
• ANCC Specialty Certificate required (must be obtained within 1 year).

• 5 years acute‑care nursing in a specialty area required.
• 3 years critical‑care acute‑care nursing preferred.
• 1 year charge or supervisory experience preferred.
• 1 year Clinical Nurse III experience for CSMC employees preferred.
• 1 year Virtual Care Nurse and/or nursing informatics experience preferred.

Base Pay: $68.00 – $79.00 per hour
