Job Overview

Cedars‑Sinai, one of the nation’s best hospitals, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN) for urgent care in Culver City. The role supports primary and specialty physicians, enhancing patient access and care coordination.

• Set up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs.
• Perform initial nursing intake and prepare patients for examination.
• Review current medications and medical record documents for each patient.
• Record vital signs and reason for visit in the medical chart.
• Coordinate prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications as ordered by provider.
• Provide basic patient care and treatments such as vitals, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
• Observe patients, document and report any changes in condition to provider.
• Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes within the LVN scope of practice.
• Maintain patient care flow.
• Answer patient and physician incoming messages with provider input.
• Advocate for patients and apply appropriate resources to support care.
• Review MA skills and performance abilities using designated evaluation tools.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control measures to maintain compliance in the clinical environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Completion of an accredited Vocational Nurse program.
• Valid CA LVN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross (valid for 60 days).
• IV/BW (intravenous/blood withdrawal) certification (must be obtained within one year of employment).
• 1+ years of LVN experience in an outpatient setting preferred.

Base pay: $28.53 – $44.22 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $3,000. Shift duration: 10 hours. Primary shift:
Day. Overtime status:
Non‑exempt.
