We are looking for a detail‑oriented and organized Cafeteria Attendant / Prep Cook to oversee our employee cafeteria at a luxury hotel. This role is crucial in ensuring all employees enjoy high‑quality meals in a welcoming environment. The position includes food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, providing excellent service, working on the pasta program, and assisting with the hotline when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation:
Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, under the guidance of the kitchen supervisor. - Cooking:
Assist with basic cooking tasks such as boiling, steaming, and grilling to prepare menu items. - Assembly:
Assemble dishes according to specified recipes and portion sizes. - Station Management:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of food stations, including refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas. - Service:
Serve food to employees with a friendly and courteous demeanor, ensuring prompt and efficient service. - Stock Management:
Monitor and replenish food supplies and ingredients as needed throughout service hours. - Sanitation:
Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food, cleaning of kitchen equipment, and overall cleanliness of the cafeteria area. - Quality Control:
Ensure all food served meets high standards of quality and freshness. - Customer Service:
Interact professionally with employees, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Experience:
Previous experience as a prep cook, cafeteria attendant, or in a similar role preferred. - Skills:
Basic culinary skills, including knife handling, food preparation, and cooking techniques. - Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and cafeteria team members. - Communication:
Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees. - Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. - Sanitation Knowledge:
Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Hourly Rate: $25.00
