House Master is expanding and growing quickly in Metro Detroit and is looking for someone to work part‑time with potential to transition to a full‑time role.

Since 1979, House Master has been a trusted name in the home inspection industry. In 2020, House Master was acquired by Neighborly, joining 28 other home service brands across the country.

** Responsibilities**

• Perform residential home inspections in various weather conditions, including climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods.
• Conduct thorough inspections of residential home systems and elements.
• Write detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to clients using solid computer technology skills.
• Stay current on company initiatives, policies, and procedures while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science.
• Maintain punctuality, independence, and a strong work ethic.

** Qualifications and Education Requirements**

• 2+ years of construction, real estate, or home repair / service experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
• Pass a pre‑employment background investigation and illegal drug test.
• Complete the industry certification test within 4 months of employment.

• Examples of successful home inspectors include titles such as building inspector, rental inspector, contractor, home service tradesperson, handyman, plumbing, electrician, roofing, HVAC technician, auto mechanic, engineer, etc.

Compensation

Pay is based on experience and qualifications: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible scheduling with the possibility of full‑time work.

Training

Paid training will be provided, and you will become a certified home inspector if you are not already.
