Position: Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Trauma Surgery

Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Trauma Surgery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Beverly. Your expertise in trauma surgery will be vital in ensuring the well‑being and recovery of patients in critical conditions. You will be involved in a variety of trauma surgery projects, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare staffing solutions.

As a Locum MD or DO in Trauma Surgery, you will have the opportunity to showcase your medical skills and knowledge while making a significant impact on patient outcomes. Your role will involve working closely with healthcare teams, performing surgical procedures, and providing high‑quality care to individuals in need of urgent medical attention. This position offers a rewarding experience for medical professionals passionate about trauma surgery and emergency care.

Responsibilities:
  • Performing trauma surgeries on patients with critical injuries.
  • Assessing patients' conditions and determining appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participating in rounds, consultations, and medical conferences.
  • Documenting patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
  • Adhering to medical protocols, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families.
  • Responding to medical emergencies and providing timely interventions.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Trauma Surgery or relevant specialty.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Proven experience in performing trauma surgeries in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care and documentation.

Schedule:

24‑hour weekend call (Friday-Monday), specific dates

General surgery and trauma surgery cases

EMR:
Epic

Must be board‑certified

Paid travel & expenses
