Overview

Patient Care Technician - Medical Telemetry, Per Diem at Beverly Hospital (Per Diem, Part Time, Day shift). This role involves providing basic patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and supporting a multi-disciplinary patient care team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic care activities and support for personal needs, comfort and safety of patients
  • Assist with delivery of patient care under RN supervision
  • Perform technical, therapeutic, and administrative tasks as trained
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork to support quality of care
  • Take vital signs, height/weight, oxygen saturation, and assist with measurements and documentation
  • Report unusual observations to the nurse
  • Collect specimens for analysis
  • Record and measure intake and output
  • Provide nutritional support including assisting with room service, setting up meals and feeding as appropriate
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read/write and perform basic four-function math
  • Desire to help people; interest in healthcare
  • Basic computer skills (preferred)
  • Medical terminology (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
  • CNA certification preferred but not required upon hire
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
