Job Description Summary

Beverly Hospital is seeking experienced and committed pharmacy technicians to join our team. Beverly Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and not-for-profit community hospital. Located on the North Shore of Massachusetts, the hospital is part of the renowned Beth Israel Lahey Health System and utilizes the integrated resources to provide high quality care for our patients, including for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

Pharmacy Technicians ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care, and are integral to the pharmacy healthcare team. The role requires performing a wide variety of duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist relating to the preparation, distribution, and storage of pharmaceuticals for patients.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of hospital practice and operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, and others
• Expertise in clinical knowledge and patient care

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

• Current licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
• Maintains a valid national pharmacy certification

EDUCATION:

• High School graduate at least 18 years of age

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 2 years of hospital, or related pharmacy experience is preferred
• Exceptional aptitude or knowledge may be considered in lieu of experience
• Must have a minimum of 1000 hours experience as a Pharmacy Technician

HOURS:

• All Weekday shifts start at either 6:00 am or 7 am, with rare rotations for evening shifts (starting at 2:30pm or 3pm) during vacation coverage.

OTHER:

• Must be willing to work at multiple locations (Beverly Hospital (primary), Addison Gilbert Hospital, Bayridge Hospital, LOCD, etc.)
• Must have personal vehicle and valid driver’s license for means of transportation
