Social Worker

Social Worker - Bay Ridge Hospital 60 Granite St Lynn MA Weekdays day shift 8-4:30

Job Summary:

As a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team, the social worker will provide assessment, intervention and aftercare planning for assigned patients on an inpatient behavioral health unit. Assures efficient patient utilization of continuum resources through close communication and collaboration with the patient, primary treatment team, insurers, and community and family support systems. In collaboration with the treatment team, plans appropriate individual and group treatment plans to meet the ongoing needs of assigned patients Education, Experience, amp;
Licensing Requirements:

-A candidate will have successfully completed a master's degree in social work and preferably will have had at least one year of social work experience in a behavioral health setting.

-Current valid Massachusetts license in Social Work (LCSW or LICSW). Skills/

Qualifications:

-Familiarity with use of electronic medical record such as EPIC
-Individual case management and knowledge of managed care
-De-escalation/restraint management techniques
-Motivational Interviewing and short-term treatment techniques
-Brief family interventions as needed
-Strong ability to assess and evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans to address the identified needs.

-Good communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment BILH Coversheet Required Flu vaccine required for new staff starting 9/2. Current staff will need to be vaccinated by 12/1. (declinations not accepted). Active MA license required at time of submission Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months
