Sanitation Team Member (Cleaner, Housekeeping, Custodial) - Full Time

Join Whole Foods Market as a Sanitation Team Member to maintain general cleanliness and safety in store areas.

$17.00/hr – $25.40/hr

• Provide excellent maintenance service.
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance lists.
• Support teams with cleaning projects.
• Perform minor repairs and improvements.
• Order supplies required for store maintenance.
• Assist with cleaning emergencies.
• Maintain store landscaping and parking lot.
• Continuously clean all store departments.
• Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed and ready to work; attend required trainings and meetings.
• Immediately report safety hazards and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

• Handle unpleasant tasks with a positive attitude.
• Demonstrate concern for the overall appearance of the store.
• Know WFM culture, quality standards, core values, and products.
• Passion for cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Follow instructions and established procedures.
• Maintain professional and appropriate conduct.
• Deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors.

• No prior retail experience required.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Standing/walking 6‑8 hours in an 8‑hour work day.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to temperatures: 90°F.
• Work in a wet and cold environment.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery.
