Software Engineer in Test

Position Title:

Software Engineer in Test (SET) (Req# 9254194)

Work as part of an Agile team to deliver high-quality products. Build and maintain software automation test suites to execute UI and API testing for web and desktop applications controlling lab automation devices. Develop software tools to automate existing manual processes. Contribute to our automation test coverage. Configure and maintain test automation as part of our CI/CD process. Define test metrics, prepare test results dashboards, and track/report on solution quality.

Represent the quality assurance function and its status to its internal clients in software, delivery, product, and customer support. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. engineers and product managers) to identify system requirements. Lead technical direction and discussions for test development and automation. Participation in Agile development processes. Plan and lead regression testing at iteration and release level. Produce documentation to improve test strategy including functional, regression tests, performance, and security tests.

Maintain Clone Zilla scripts for PC deployments. Testing liquid-handlers and other lab automation devices.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field plus two (2) years of software testing experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Software automation experience with Postman, Playwright, and Newman.
• Working with Zephyr and Jira as test management systems.
