Flourish Education are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Bewdley
, starting in November 2026 and continuing until June 2027
.
The setting provides specialist education for pupils with a range of complex and additional needs. These can include SEMH, Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and behavioural needs
. The successful candidate will provide structured support and help pupils remain engaged with learning and develop their independence.
Experience with in a specialist school, alternative provision, residential setting or similar SEN environment would be beneficial.
Job Role:- Support pupils with complex and additional needs
- Work with students with SEMH, ASD and ADHD
- Provide individual and small-group support
- Assist pupils with emotional regulation
- Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Help pupils access their individual learning programmes
- Follow behaviour and support plans
Work alongside specialist teachers and other professionals - Encourage independence and positive social development
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Specialist education experience is desirable
- Understanding of SEMH, ASD and ADHD
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour
- Ability to remain calm and consistent
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Resilient and patient approach
- Commitment to supporting pupils with complex needs

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based in Bewdley and is easily commutable from Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcester, Bridgnorth, Bromsgrove, Hagley and surrounding areas
