Salary: Circa £38,500
Location: Near Bewdley
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (fully site based)

Are you an experienced quality professional looking for your next challenge within a successful food manufacturing environment?

We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining and developing an established Quality Management System, supporting food safety, quality compliance and continuous improvement activities across a busy manufacturing operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of BRCGS standards, internal auditing, HACCP and food manufacturing quality systems who enjoys working cross-functionally and making a genuine impact on product quality and compliance.

The Role

As Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, customer requirements and recognised industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the maintenance, review and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensuring compliance with BRCGS Food Safety Standards and other certification requirements, including Halal and Kosher standards
• Promoting a positive food safety, quality and hygiene culture across the site
• Supporting customer, third-party and certification audits, including audit preparation and corrective action management
• Conducting internal audits and GMP inspections to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities
• Investigating quality incidents, customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions
• Participating in HACCP and TACCP teams, supporting risk assessments, CCP verification activities and food defence initiatives
• Managing and coordinating the site calibration programme for key equipment including metal detectors, magnets, sieves and scales
• Completing customer questionnaires, technical documentation and product specifications
• Delivering and coordinating food safety, quality and hygiene related training
• Supporting quality KPI reporting, trend analysis and continuous improvement projects
• Working closely with production, warehouse, operations and health & safety teams to ensure compliance across all departments

Requirements
:

• Experience with in a food manufacturing or food production
• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Technical or Food Safety role
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards and food safety requirements
• Internal auditing experience
• HACCP knowledge and practical involvement
• Experience investigating non-conformances, complaints and corrective actions
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and compliance
