Egerton Road is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is a Full time position
Pay: £13.10 per hour
Shift: 40.5 Hours per week Various shifts across 7 day (Nights & Weekends Included)
Egerton Road is located in Bexhill-on-Sea, in East Sussex. It offers residential support and neuro-rehabilitation for 11 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or a progressive neurological condition (PNC). We are just a short walk from the town centre and seafront.
Our team are dedicated in supporting our resident to return individuals back into the community, via a programme of slow-stream rehabilitation. Independence, socialisation within the local community and daily routines are all actively encouraged. Egerton Road is geared specifically to cater for adults with an ABI in a supportive, family-like environment set within a residential space.

As a Senior Support Worker
, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.
- Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional development
- Lead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadership
- Assist with the management of site petty cash and client funds
- Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
- Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
- Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
- Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
- Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
- Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
- Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
