Construction Operative, Construction Labor ​/ Trades

Experience

• Experience in joint sealing, over banding, ironworks, or small civils
• Experience working within construction, highways maintenance, or civil engineering
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours/travel

• Joint preparation and installation of hot and cold-applied sealants
• Crack sealing and over banding operations
• Screeding and surface finishing works
• Installation, repair, and replacement of ironworks, including manhole covers, frames, gullies, and access covers
• Carrying out small civils works including concrete repairs, kerbing, patching, drainage repairs, and reinstatement works
• Saw cutting, routing, and preparation of asphalt and concrete surfaces
• Safe operation of specialist plant, equipment, and tools
• Completing daily vehicle, plant, and equipment inspections
• Maintaining accurate records and site documentation
• Complying with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements
• Working effectively as part of a team to deliver projects safely, on time, and to a high standard

Essential:

• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Street Works Qualification (NRSWA)
• HGV Licence
• Plant tickets (e.g. floor saw, mini road planer etc)
• First Aid at Work qualification
