An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school is seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Headteacher with a specific focus on behaviour, relationships and attendance. You will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to inspire pupils, support staff and foster a culture of high expectations, consistent behaviour standards and excellent attendance.
You will play a key role in strategic leadership, operational management and whole-school improvement, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed in a safe and supportive environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership for behaviour management, attendance and pastoral systems across the school.
Support the Headteacher in maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and pupil conduct.
Promote positive relationships with pupils, staff, families and external partners to address barriers to learning.
Lead, mentor and develop staff to implement effective behaviour and attendance practices.
Analyse behaviour and attendance data to drive targeted interventions and improvements.
Act as a visible presence around the school, modelling high expectations of conduct and consistency.
Support safeguarding and welfare systems to ensure a safe learning environment for all pupils.
Proven leadership experience within a primary school context, ideally including behaviour and attendance leadership.
Strong understanding of educational standards, pedagogy and curriculum in primary settings.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrable impact in improving behaviour culture and attendance outcomes.
A commitment to inclusive practice, professional development and continuous school improvement.
Ability to lead with vision, resilience and integrity.
Leadership responsibility within an ambitious and supportive school culture.
