GCSE tutor SEN

Position: GCSE tutor with SEN experience
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging one-to-one GCSE tuition tailored to students with SEN.

Support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, or your subject specialism.

Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs, abilities, and education plans.

Build positive, supportive relationships with students who may have had challenging experiences in education.

Monitor and report on student progress.

Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals where required.

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

Desirable Experience

Supporting students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other additional learning needs.

Experience working within alternative provision, SEN settings, or mentoring roles.

Knowledge of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.

Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education practices.
