SEMH Practitioner – Bexley – September 2026

Are you experienced in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs and looking to make a meaningful impact in a primary school setting? Join a forward-thinking school in Bexley as an SEMH Practitioner, working directly with pupils to provide targeted support and interventions that help them regulate emotions, engage in learning, and develop confidence.

This role is part of an Outstanding Two‑School Trust and offers the opportunity to work within a growing SEMH programme, providing practical support to pupils and staff while contributing to the development of best‑practice strategies.

What’s on Offer
  • Competitive Outer London Salary – MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
  • Permanent, full‑time role starting in April/September 2026
  • 36 hours per week, term‑time only
  • Work alongside experienced teachers and SEN/SEMH specialists
  • Play a key role in delivering SEMH interventions and promoting positive behaviour
The Role
  • Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and resilience within the classroom
  • Support teachers in implementing behaviour strategies and structured interventions
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching and pastoral teams
  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting
  • A calm, patient, and proactive individual able to manage challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and pupils
  • Commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential and thrive in school
