Solution Architect - AI Delivery in Retail

Solution Architect / Agile Architect AI Delivery in Retail Were looking for a hands-on Solution Architect with deep Retail Sector experience and a proven track record in designing and delivering AI-driven initiatives at scale . This is a role for someone who has actually taken AI products from concept through to production, not just strategy decks, but real delivery alongside engineers, BAs and Product Owners.

Youll lead delivery squads working on high-value AI programmes across enterprise retail clients, acting as the Solution Architect / Technical Lead / Agile Architect guiding design decisions, shaping solutions and ensuring engineering teams can execute effectively. What Youll Work On:
Youll support large-scale retail organisations in rolling out AI initiatives across a range of potential use-cases, such as:
Contact centre automation and intelligent chatbots Front-end customer personalisation In-store product recognition and computer vision Supply chain optimisation using AI/ML Back-office and finance optimisation through predictive models The specific domain is less important, what matters is that youve been through the full lifecycle of designing, architecting and delivering AI-enabled solutions, ideally more than once. Your Role:
Act as the Solution Architect / Technical Lead / Agile Architect within a cross-functional squad Shape end-to-end AI solution design across applications, data, integration and cloud Translate business goals into scalable, secure, production-ready architectures Guide engineers on implementation patterns, technical decisions and delivery risks Work closely with Product Owners and BAs to shape backlog and roadmap Ensure architectural governance, quality and alignment across teams What Youll Bring:
Strong background in retail technology , ideally across omnichannel, stores, supply chain or digital Hands-on experience delivering AI/ML initiatives in a real production environment Ability to design end-to-end solutions across data pipelines, APIs, cloud services and application components Architecture experience (Solution or Domain), with the ability to operate as a tech lead Experience working in agile squads with engineers, BAs and Product Owners Development experience (any language) is a strong plus Experience contributing to AI strategy or enterprise-level AI roadmaps is beneficial £85k-£100k  package.
