We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Cleaner/Caretaker to join our team at Gravel Hill Primary School, helping us maintain a clean, safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be committed, dependable, and able to demonstrate high standards of cleaning and site care. The role includes a range of cleaning and caretaker duties, such as maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the school site, carrying out daily locking procedures, ensuring the premises remain safe and secure, and supporting the smooth operation of the school by liaising with and overseeing contractors working on site.
Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the school premises.
- Perform daily locking procedures.
- Ensure premises remain safe and secure.
- Support smooth operations by liaising with contractors.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and work independently.
- Respond flexibly to the varied needs of the school environment.
- Practical, organised, and dependable.
- Experience in a cleaning, caretaking, or facilities role preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
