Education & Background
• Diploma/B.Tech or above;
Environmental Engineering, Chemical Automation, or Safety Engineering preferred.
• Should know acidic-wastewater treatment (neutralization, precipitation, pH control) or chemical process (acid/base behavior, reaction control); combined environmental-and-chemical background preferred.
Experience
• 5+ years managing acidic-wastewater treatment ; familiar with high-HCl wastewater (pH ≤1) — triple-effect evaporation, MVR, multi-stage neutralization, and corrosion-resistant materials; has handled environmental acceptance and regulatory inspections.
• Background in chemicals, electroplating, pharma, or metallurgy (industries producing high-HCl wastewater) preferred; knows the high-corrosion, high-acidity, heavy-metal/organic profile.
Core Competencies
• Treatment technology:
controls HCl neutralization (lime/caustic dosing), heavy-metal precipitation (sulfide), and pH (6–9); solves incomplete neutralization, poor sludge settling, and effluent pH swings.
• Site & cost management:
schedules and trains operators/inspectors; optimizes chemical dosing, equipment maintenance, and energy use to hit chemical cost ≤ X CNY/tonne of wastewater and equipment failure rate ≤ Y%.
• Safety & emergency:
knows HCl corrosion and volatility risks; sets burn/leak/poisoning protection standards; runs drills for acid spills and burns.
• Environmental compliance:
knows Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard and Electroplating Pollutant Discharge Standard; handles routine monitoring, quarterly inspections, and annual acceptance; keeps environmental records and monitoring reports.
• Equipment care:
knows acid-resistant pumps, agitators, pH meters, and neutralization tanks; troubleshoots pump corrosion, pH drift, and agitator failure.
Skills & Certifications
• Technical: acid-base neutralization, heavy-metal precipitation, online pH monitoring; runs acid-resistant pumps, pH meters, and COD/Cr analyzers; uses Excel and environmental-management SaaS for water-quality, chemical-consumption, and equipment logs.
• Industry knowledge: high-HCl profile (pH ≤1, contains fluorides, Cl⁻ ≥10,000 mg/L, may contain heavy metals such as antimony (Sb) and organic matter); mainstream neutralization-precipitation-filtration-disinfection flows; corrosion-resistant materials (FRP, rubber-lined, 316L SS).
Nice to Have
• Built a high-HCl wastewater line from zero or led process retrofits (higher neutralization efficiency, lower chemical cost).
• Led environmental acceptance, discharge-permit changes, or regulatory inspections.
• Knows local environmental policy and benchmark wastewater practices (e.g., electroplating parks, chemical sites).
