RTSL-SPL aims to enhance cardiovascular health outcomes in India through evidence-based interventions and innovative strategies and is committed to supporting the Government of India in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.4.
RTSL’s cardiovascular health program supports the efforts of state governments to strengthen hypertension and diabetes prevention and control within the public health system. In addition to improving quality of care through standardized protocols, better follow-up, and treatment continuity, the initiative also contributes to broader population-level strategies such as salt reduction and trans-fat elimination, in alignment with national NCD priorities. By providing technical assistance, capacity-building, and data-informed planning, the program aims to help states enhance service delivery, advance evidence-based public health interventions, and accelerate progress toward improved cardiovascular health outcomes.
