We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Intern to support our Procurement Department. The intern will assist in vendor management, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and procurement documentation while gaining practical experience in purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and processing Purchase Orders (POs).
Coordinate with vendors for quotations, deliveries, and follow-ups.
Compare supplier quotations and prepare comparative statements.
Maintain procurement records, files, and documentation.
Track order status and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Support inventory monitoring and stock reconciliation activities.
Assist in vendor database management and supplier evaluations.
Coordinate with internal departments regarding purchase requirements.
Verify invoices and supporting documents before submission for payment processing.
Generate procurement-related reports and MIS as required.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) is an advantage.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Negotiation and coordination skills.
Time management and multitasking abilities.
