Position: Accounts & Audit Semi Senior
We are recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join a successful, independent accountancy practice that is looking to add to its dynamic team. Within this role you will be supporting the delivery of bookkeeping, payroll, tax and accounting and audit services to a diverse client portfolio.

The audit element of the role will be approximately 20-30% and as Accounts & Audit Semi Senior, you will work towards increasing your scope of work as experience grows.

As Accounts & Audit Semi Senior your responsibilities will include:

* Support year-end accounts production and liaise with clients as required

* Working on audits within a small team including planning, fieldwork through to completion

* Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients

* Process and manage client payrolls, including statutory returns

* Assist in the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and financial statements

* Prepare self-assessment tax returns and assist with MTD for clients moving into this area

* Assistance with corporation tax computation

* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and relevant legislation

* Provide ad hoc support to the senior team members

To be considered for this position you will satisfy the following:

* Ideally be part-qualified ACA / ACCA – AAT and QBE candidates will be considered

* Minimum of 2 years’ audit experience within a UK accountancy practice environment

* Previous experience of planning and completing audits

* Self-driven, results orientated with a desire to learn and develop yourself

* Interested in supporting trainees with their training and development

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong IT skills, ideally with a working knowledge of Sage, Quick Books, Xero, and CCH but must also be competent in both Word and Excel

* UK driving licence and vehicle to travel to client premises
