We are looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Engineer, with a passion for historic cars.

The Jim Stokes Workshops Group is a prominent and highly respected restorer of Vintage, Historic & Classic Cars with a global reputation. Our highly skilled team restore, maintain and recreate some of the most significant and valuable road and racing cars in the world.

We are looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Engineer, with a passion for historic cars.

Once established in the role, the successful candidate will undertake complex restoration and recreation projects, working as part of multi-skilled team. If you are a good team player with some previous experience of coordinating long term projects, we would welcome you to apply.

Applicants for this role will need to be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of motor vehicle engineering with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving ability. This will have been gained through hands‑on experience within the classic car or motor sport industry, preferably including pre‑war cars. Some welding, fabrication, lathe and milling machine experience would also be an advantage but is not essential.
