Fleet Transport Supervisor

Job description:

New Recruits are looking to appoint a Transport Fleet Supervisor on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support our clients transport and distribution operation during a period of change.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the day-to-day running of the transport function, ensuring all dispatched orders are planned, scheduled and tracked effectively.

· Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation, including driver hours, Working Time Directive and Operator Licence obligations.

· Ensure all fleet vehicles are maintained, serviced and meet legal and safety requirements.

· Act as the first point of contact for drivers, providing guidance and support as required.

· Support route planning activity, working closely with the Transport Co-Ordinator and providing cover during absence.

· Plan and oversee the demountable box refurbishment and maintenance programme.

· Assist Warehouse Manager with movement of demountable boxes.
