Ed Tech II; Interventionist

Overview

Education Technician II at Biddeford Primary School. Providing academic intervention and instructional support for K-2 students.

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
• Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
• Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
• Alert the teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.

• Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
• Appropriate for Education Technician Certification Level
• Successful prior classroom experience or working with students for the appropriate grade levels is preferred, but not required

• Live and work in the Biddeford, Maine community, with access to the local area and transportation options
