Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer – Machining role in Biddeford, ME

- Help evolve technical machining centers and define machining processes within the production facility.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements using CNC technology, Lean/Six Sigma tools, and GD&T methodologies.
- Provide hands‑on technical support for a 24/7 manufacturing operation in assigned machining areas.
- Analyze technology requirements, resources, and timelines to plan and execute engineering projects effectively.
- Perform root cause analyses for equipment or process failures and implement data‑driven corrective actions.
- Support non‑conformance programs and develop preventive measures to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Prepare technical reports and deliver presentations to management and customers regarding process and project performance.
- Design and develop new equipment or tooling to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards in all machining operations.
- Apply quality standards and ensure adherence to certification and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to qualify process changes and provide technical services and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline required.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on machining or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong background in CNC machining and process optimization.
- Proficiency with GD&T, product/tool design, and engineering drawing approval standards (GD&T certification preferred).
- Demonstrated success in technical problem‑solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with industrial tools, equipment, and machining processes required.
- Experience in aerospace, high‑temperature composites, textiles, or industrial manufacturing systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
- Interest and technical understanding of composites and ceramics a plus.
- Competitive compensation package. $95,000‑$110,000 annually DOE
