For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
- 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
- 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Workwell, a dynamic, Occupational Health practice is seeking a Medical Assistant who can “go with the flow”, multi-task, and fill in where needed. The position is mainly clinical: hair, urine and drug testing (would get certified), as well as completing screenings (such as vision, hearing, lift capacity) prior to patients seeing providers. Phlebotomy experience is a definite plus!
This position is for the Biddeford office – but travel to Sanford may be required on occasion for training or to cover if needed.
Our offices are open 5 days per week, 7:30am – 4:00pm, no weekends.

Summary:
The Medical Assistant – Occupational Health role assists the physician/advanced practice practitioner in the care and treatment of patients, promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1.
Education:
Graduate from a two year accredited college in Medical Assisting or Certification from the AAMA or AMT or NHA required
2. License/
Certifications:
See Education. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3.
Experience:
One year of experience as Medical Assistant in a medical office preferred. Experience in Occupational Health practice preferred.
