Sanel NAPA is looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead and grow a group of stores across Southern Maine and New Hampshire.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the automotive aftermarket, knows how to run a successful store, and can turn business goals into results. You’ll work closely with Store Managers, Outside Sales Representatives and support teams to drive sales, profitability, customer growth and team development across your territory.

If you enjoy being out in the field, building strong teams, developing customer relationships and having a direct impact on business performance, this could be a great opportunity.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the day-to-day operations and financial performance of multiple Sanel NAPA stores.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, profit and performance goals.
  • Coach and develop Store Managers to improve sales, customer service and profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with business owners and key decision makers.
  • Analyze sales, financial, inventory and operating information and use that information to create action plans.
  • Lead turnaround plans for underperforming stores and address operational and people-related challenges.
  • Build strong store teams through hiring, coaching, development and succession planning in partnership with HR.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, receivables, equipment, fleet and other business assets.
  • Support store resets, moves and other operational initiatives.
  • Hold leaders accountable for performance, employee development and company standards.
  • Represent Sanel NAPA professionally with customers, employees and business partners.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support stores and teams.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous direct store management experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of NAPA or automotive aftermarket store operations.
  • Experience growing sales and customer relationships.
  • Experience working with financial results, budgets or P&L information preferred.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with leadership and support teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and virtual meeting platforms such as Teams or Zoom.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record required.
What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means building strong store teams, growing customer relationships, improving sales and profitability, and developing Store Managers who can lead their businesses effectively.

You won't be sitting behind a desk all day. This is a field-based leadership position where you'll spend time in stores, with customers and with your teams.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular travel and the ability to work in automotive retail environments, both indoors and outdoors. The role may require standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching and lifting up to 40 pounds. Employees are expected to use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Why Sanel NAPA?

Sanel NAPA is a growing automotive parts organization with stores throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts. We are committed to developing our people, serving our customers and building strong teams at every level of the organization.

Compensation: Starting at $80,000 annually + bonus program + take-home company vehicle.
