American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift travel position requiring 2 years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.
Details- Med Surg Telemetry unit on the 3rd floor of a 56-bed hospital
- General med surg telemetry patient population
- Patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Weekend hours vary by schedule
- Floating to other med surg units as needed within a 25-mile radius between facilities
- On-call requirement of 2 twelve-hour call shifts during the 13-week contract
- Active RN license (ME or compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required, plus prior travel experience
- Non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but AHA certification must be completed before start
- Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references required
- Provide direct nursing care to general med surg telemetry patients as part of a collaborative care team
- Scrubs may be any color but must be clean and professional; hoodies, graphic shirts, and open shoes are not permitted
- Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited while on the unit
- Education modules completed through the facility's LMS, consistent across all travelers
- RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
- Candidates residing within 90 miles of any Maine Health facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewal or extension of the assignment
- Candidates who have worked at any Maine Health facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon consideration
- Local candidates are accepted
