Overview

Are you a passionate Clinical Nurse with a post graduate qualification in Child and Community Health? We are seeking dedicated nurses to join our Wheatbelt Population Health teams, based in Northam, Merredin, Moora and Narrogin. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact across child, school and community health settings while enjoying the lifestyle and benefits of country living.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, and Fixed Term Full Time, Permanent Part Time, and Fixed Term Part Time with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Casual appointments may also be considered. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/06/2026.

The Opportunity

In consultation with the Clinical Nurse Manager plans, implements and evaluates community nursing care (in the area of child, community and school health) and relevant primary health programs to the communities serviced by the Primary Health Service.

To be successful

To be successful in this role, you will have…

  • An ability to apply knowledge and clinical skills in the area of child, community and school health – including ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate programmes at an individual and group level
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Primary Health Care
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
  • Computer literacy and an ability to utilise information systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of the WA Health Aboriginal Cultural Learning Frameworks
  • Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers licence
