We are looking for an HGV Class 1 driver to join our company to carry out a night trunking duties. Drivers will be expected to to attend our Bideford site to carry out a night trunk in an artic vehicle to the Palletforce hub at Burton upon Trent, unload reload and return to base. Evans Transport is part of the ET Holdings group.

The company has been running over 50 years and is still very much a family company with 3 generations of Evans family actively involved in the business. Responsibilities and Duties For Class 1 driver (Nights) Key Task Requirements Ensure the most direct truck friendly route is taken Ensure the vehicle is safe and fit to be on the road by carrying out adequate daily checks. Work within the tachograph and working time directive laws Meet our connection times for loading and unloading at the pallet hub Able to work on own initiative and part of a team Report any issues effectively and promptly to management Be able to work to a productive nature.

Qualifications and Skills For Class 1 driver (Nights) Key Skill Requirements Full driving licence with CE vocation In date driver CPC and digital tachograph Posses good literacy and numeracy skills. Have a reason able level of fitness Presentable, good attitude and polite.
