NEW Resident Advisor (Student Position). Department:
Housing & Residence Life. Work type:
Student Employment – General. 10‑month position from August to May, with option to work May to August.
$14.00–$14.49 per hour, room and meal plan when available.
Responsibilities- Participate in on‑call rotation for the community, including campus breaks.
- Assist in administrative operations under Hall Director supervision and create an inclusive community through intentional programming.
- Maintain student contact, especially during evenings and weekends.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and training on Mondays 8:00‑10:30 pm; additional meetings may be required.
- Work up to 24 hours per week (20 hours for International Students) as Desk Service Assistant or up to 20 hours per week at another on‑campus job.
- Model and promote the University’s mission and vision.
- Full‑time student (undergraduate: 12–18 credits, graduate: 9 credits) or as decided by Assistant Director Residential Programs & Services.
- Minimum of two semesters of on‑campus living at Ferris State University, or one semester for transfer students, within the previous 5 years.
- Good academic and disciplinary standing with the University.
- Schedule allows student contact during evenings and weekends.
- Not enrolled in internships, clinical/practicum experiences, student teaching, police academy, or other commitments that would keep them off campus during employment.
