Position Title: Museums and Galleries Student Asst - Art Gallery (Student Position)

Location: Big Rapids, MI

Department: Art Gallery

Advertised Salary: $12.48- $13.24

Summary of Position: Student workers will assist in all duties relating to the installation and striking of exhibitions using proper art handling methods and Best Practices.

• Position Requirements: Applicants should possess basic computer and office skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Be able to lift and carry verity of items to set up the gallery

• Interact positively and be able to discuss the art on display with a diverse demographic of visitors to the gallery including artists, students, staff, faculty, administration, and community members both youth and adult.
• Assist in maintaining attendance records
• Provide secretarial support and assist with updating and maintaining the gallery website and social media sites.
