OverviewCorewell Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent care services in our busy Big Rapids clinic. The role requires 1‑3 years of practice in an urgent or acute care setting and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients in an urgent care environment.
- Evaluate and treat acute medical conditions, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate medications.
- Coordinate patient care with the medical team, ensuring continuity of care within the Corewell Health network.
- Support extended operational hours and a flexible schedule to meet community needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic health record.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing advanced practice providers.
- General Requirements: 1–3 years of experience in urgent or acute settings; cannot be new graduates; ability to work independently in a high‑volume clinic.
- Physician Assistant:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- State of Michigan licensure (LIC-Physician Assistant).
- NCCPA certification (PA‑C).
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
- Nurse Practitioner:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing; program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or National League for Nursing.
- State of Michigan licensure (LIC-Nurse Practitioner).
- CRM certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP.
- 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
