Respiratory Therapist

Provides respiratory therapy procedures to patients with diverse needs and abnormalities, demonstrating clinical competence and delivering care tailored to adult, neonatal, and pediatric populations.

• Performs assessments by inspecting, auscultating, reviewing medical records, blood gases, and lab data.
• Reviews x-ray and radiology reports, discusses patient care with physicians, and makes clinical recommendations.
• Explains treatment plans, monitors patient responses, and adjusts therapies accordingly.
• Executes respiratory procedures promptly, documents interventions, and ensures equipment functionality.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team and participates in clinical instruction of students.
• Maintains equipment, troubleshoots instrumentation, and reports malfunctions.
• Performs other assigned duties as needed.

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days.

Demonstrates necessary clinical skills, knowledge of respiratory care for various populations, and proficiency with equipment and documentation. No specific prior experience required.
