Accounts Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.

Summary of the Accounts Assistant role

Salary: £33,000 - £36,500

Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

Process purchase ledger invoices
Manage credit control activities
Allocate customer remittances
Daily bank reconciliations
Resolve invoice queries
Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
Assist with month-end and year-end
Assist with internal and external audit requirements
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Liaise with internal departments to respond to finance queries and provide administrative support
Requirements for a successful Accounts Assistant

Strong data entry and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Excel and other finance systems
Excellent communication skills
Able to manage workload efficiently and work independently when required
