Pallex Operations Planner

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in coordinating pallet network operations, planning delivery routes, supporting drivers, and ensuring freight moves efficiently through our network. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our Pallex freight network activities. You'll work closely with drivers, customers, depot partners, and colleagues to ensure deliveries are planned effectively and customer expectations are exceeded. Plan and coordinate pallet deliveries using Pallex and Churchill Freight operating systems.

Create cost-effective and efficient delivery routes. Monitor delivery progress and track performance throughout the day. Act as a key contact for drivers, customers, Pallex depots, and internal teams. Resolve operational issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Confidence working with computer systems and learning new software. A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in transport planning, logistics, freight, supply chain, or distribution - would be an advantage but is not essential. Forklift experience or a desire to learn as training can be provided - this will be a hands-on role supporting in the yard with loading.
