We're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team and play a key role in shaping innovative solutions and supporting our long-term success.

What's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site. Working 48 hours per week, the shift pattern covers days - Monday to Thursday (10hr) and Friday (8hr).What are the mission-critical skills?

Mechanical fitting with good knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings and general mechanical equipment

Good knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essential

Finding and fixing faults safely and efficiently

Welding and fabrication skills essential

Routine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule is advantageous

Turning and milling knowledge and experience would be advantageous

Experience of working in a medium to heavy industry, particularly aggregates would be advantageous

Electrical qualifications would be advantageous

Working as part of a team in a busy manufacturing factory to ensure production targets are met Complete risk assessments when requested.
