Position: Metal Shop Trainee (Permanent)

Are you looking to launch a hands-on career in engineering? We’re currently recruiting for Metal Trainee Operator to join a busy and supportive manufacturing team. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity offering full training, long-term development, and clear progression into skilled fabrication or welding roles.

Pay: £12.30 per hour (£25,584 annually)

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Start:
Immediate

What you’ll be doing :

* Assisting with the fabrication and assembly of metal components

* Learning to operate workshop machinery such as presses, drills, and cutting tools

* Following technical drawings and instructions

* Supporting experienced fabricators and engineers with daily tasks

* Maintaining high quality and safety standards

* Helping to keep the workshop clean and organised

What we’re looking for:

* A genuine interest in engineering or manufacturing

* Willingness to learn and develop practical skills

* Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity

* A reliable team player with a positive work ethic

* Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

Training & Progression:

* Full on-the-job training provided
