JLS Building and Property Development is an established construction company with over 30 years of experience, specialising in residential extensions and commercial construction projects across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.

We are looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Apprentice Tradesperson to join our growing team. The specific trade (such as carpentry, plumbing, or a related construction trade) will be discussed and agreed based on the candidate’s interest, ability, and suitability for our projects.

This is a hands‑on role offering real site experience on extensions and commercial works, supported by a recognised apprenticeship training provider and experienced tradespeople.

• Assisting qualified tradespeople on residential extension and commercial construction projects
• Learning trade-specific skills both on site and through off‑the‑job training
• Using tools, materials, and equipment safely and correctly
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment
• Attending college or training sessions as required by the apprenticeship
• Developing practical skills, site awareness, and a strong work ethic

• Keen to build a long‑term career in the construction industry
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Able to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
  Own transport is highly desirable
  , or the ability to travel reliably to site locations
• No previous experience required – attitude and commitment are essential

• A fully funded apprenticeship with a recognised training provider
• Paid college and training time
