Depot Maintenance Assistant

Permanent Full Time

Based in Biggleswade

£30,300 inc Standby Fee Plus Excellent Package

We are working with a growing and highly reputable facilities management contractor who are a genuinely fantastic company to work for, look after their staff well and have established and stable contracts nationwide. This role will be working on a static site in Biggleswade.

Role
  • Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with any major or minor maintenance work.
  • Complete the PPM and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk and assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary.
  • Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair work to agreed timescales.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment necessary to complete minor maintenance and repairs are available and serviceable at all times.
  • Although aligned to one site for the purpose of PPM completion, there may be times that the Depot Maintenance Technician will be required to attend other depots to carry out work.
  • Attend training courses as and when necessary, by the company.
  • Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Work with company and Co-op colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
  • Assist City teams when requested.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI’s.
  • Ensure that all costs are approved following the correct process.
Person
  • NVQ Level 3 within carpentry/joinery or equivalent
  • Previous experience in building maintenance
  • Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
  • Respond to service call requests within agreed timescales
  • Full Driving Licence and flexible to travel when required for on call purposes
Package
  • Starting salary of £30,300
  • Permanent full time - 40 hours per week - a shift between the hours of 06.00 to 18.00
