Rapiscan, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Production Test Technician, based out of Billerica, MA. OverviewThe Production Test Technician will play a key part in the testing and control of a variety of components, subassemblies, and assembled goods related to the production of X‑ray based inspection systems. Responsibilities include calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving relevant processes to enable the objectives of the team.
Responsibilities- Perform set‑up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- Work with electrical, electro‑mechanical, and mechanical test fixtures; assist in future design as needed.
- Execute test specifications, methods, and procedures from prints, drawings, and diagrams; assist in future development.
- Test and troubleshoot components, assemblies, and final systems; complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions; provide analysis and recommendations based on data.
- Use software tools to follow work instructions, investigate Bills of Material, review specifications, and review ECOs to execute jobs successfully.
- Assist in the selection and set‑up of specialized test equipment.
- Work with New Product Introduction to deploy testing technology and practices for future products.

- Report quality problems or defects to a manager or senior management for corrective action.
- Adapt duties as required by business needs.
- Associate’s Degree in engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of manufacturing test experience; or a High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong computer skills, installing and configuring software.
- Proficiency in Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and Digital Multimeters.
- Ability to install and configure computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Strong assembly skills and use of common hand tools and industry terminology.
- Self‑starter who seeks ways to improve the job and related processes and shows initiative.
- Working knowledge of Excel, ERP, and work instruction software.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standard is a plus.
