Direct Support Professional – NEEDS Center
Join a nonprofit organization that is making a difference in the lives of others. We offer a $1,500 sign‑on bonus ($750 upon hire and $750 after 6 months) to hired candidates. The NEEDS Center is a growing non‑profit organization and we have 8 openings for Direct Care Support Professionals who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living.

Full‑time and part‑time positions available in our residential home in Billerica, MA. These positions are primarily either 2nd shift, overnights, and/or weekends. These are entry‑level jobs with great potential for career growth – training is provided.
Pay range: $20–$21 per hour (pay based on experience and MAP certification).
Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on personal care and assist adults with autism in their daily routines.
- Support residents in developing daily living skills such as personal care, grooming, cooking, and cleaning.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
- Implement clinical, educational, and vocational programs.
- Observe and record data for programs established in residents’ Individual and Behavioral support plans.
- Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that promotes regular community membership.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
- Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary).
- Ability and willingness to provide hands‑on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication with co‑workers and supported individuals; must read fluently.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

The NEEDS Center specializes in providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. The services and supports employ Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Support to assist individuals toward independence.
