We are seeking an experienced EMS Administrator to manage and support Enterprise Management Systems (EMS), Network Monitoring Systems (NMS), and Helpdesk tools for the Department of Information Technology (DIT) in Shimla. The role requires expertise in network monitoring, routing and switching technologies, and foundational information security practices.

• Administer and maintain EMS/NMS and Helpdesk tools to ensure continuous infrastructure monitoring.
• Monitor network devices and links; escalate and track issues through resolution.
• Act as the Tool Specialist for NMS platforms – handle configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Analyze and troubleshoot network-related issues.
• Collaborate with network and security teams for incident management and system performance optimization.
• Maintain system logs, documentation, and audit compliance records.

• B.E. /
  
  B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics & Communication, or MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in EMS/NMS administration
• Proficient in using NMS tools (e.g., Motadata, Zabbix).
• Well-versed with routing and switching devices and technologies.
• Familiarity with:
  • ATM, Frame Relay, MPLS, Wireless, Broadband
  • Protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark)
• Basic to intermediate understanding of:
  • Antivirus, Firewalls, IDS/IPS
  • Two/Three-factor authentication, VPNs, Content Filtering, Encryption
• Knowledge of Information Security Audit parameters and standards.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to work in shifts or on-call, if required
