Optical Test Technician

Join Teledyne Technologies in testing opto‑mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturing documentation using hand tools, measuring devices and test equipment.

• Align and test optical systems using interferometry, alignment telescope, and optical inspection devices.
• Work with assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and dial indicators.
• Conduct environmental testing of opto‑mechanical systems using thermal chambers and vibration machines.
• Document actions by completing checklists.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform general lab maintenance as necessary.

• High school diploma or 1‑2 years of relevant experience in a similar position/field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
• Optical alignment and test experience desired.
• Assembly experience desired.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and process instructions.
• Experience using standard hand tools – Allen wrenches, screw drivers, torque wrenches, etc.
• Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing.
• Possess a solid, quality‑minded work ethic and strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative and inspiring group dynamics preferred.
• Stand for extended periods, often for most of the workday.
• Lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds as required.

$49,300.00 – $65,700.00
