We are seeking a skilled and reliable full‑time Diesel Mechanic with a positive attitude to perform maintenance and repairs on Class 8 tractors, temperature control units, and trailers at our Billerica, MA terminal. In addition to typical equipment service such as PMs and tire replacements, the successful candidate must be willing to learn new technologies: vehicle diagnostics, communication devices, and tablets.

• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
• Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred)
• 5+ years experience working as a diesel mechanic
• 5+ years hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic systems, and diagnostics experience
• Knowledge of Diagnostic tool system
• Experience working as a Mechanic on heavy commercial trucks and trailers
• Working knowledge of Thermo King and Carrier temperature controlled units
• Experience with Tablets and App technology
• Familiarity with federal annual Inspection criteria
• Able to conduct inventory and order parts as needed

• Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
• Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
• Capable of performing maintenance on tractors and trailers
• Able to mount/dismount truck/trailer tires
• Capable of performing safety checks on equipment
• Capable of coupling/decoupling and moving equipment around the terminal
• Prepare and enter work orders into Fleet Management System
• Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
• Prepare work orders and order parts
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Knowledge and experience with electrical and hydraulics
• Must have the ability to lift, push or pull 70+ pounds, climb heavy equipment, and bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods
• Must have strong communication and listening skills and be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Pay: $35‑$40/hour based on skills/experience; some overtime. This is a full‑time position with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and company‑paid holidays. Schedule:

Full Time, M–F 40 hours/week. Day shift 9 a‑6 p ideal or 10 a‑7 p.
