We are delighted to invite applications for the role of Maths Teacher at our successful and inclusive school in Billericay. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic practitioner to join a supportive and forward-thinking Maths department, committed to high standards of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach mathematics across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that foster curiosity, confidence, and a genuine appreciation of mathematics.
We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced teachers looking for their next professional challenge.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, well-structured maths lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Teach across a range of abilities, ensuring appropriate challenge and support
- Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform future planning
- Provide clear and constructive feedback in line with school policies
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and engagement
- Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing improvement of the Maths department
- Take part in departmental meetings, moderation, and collaborative planning
- Support intervention strategies to help pupils make strong progress
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress and attainment
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and events
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it
- Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education
- Be an effective and reflective classroom practitioner
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching and equality of opportunity
- Have high expectations of themselves and their students
- Be well organised, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Show enthusiasm for professional development and continuous improvement
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
