We are seeking to appoint Specialist Teaching Assistants for Visual Impairment to play a vital role in ensuring a pupil with Visual Impairment can fully access their education, develop independence and lifelong learning skills, and also fully participate in school life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a pupil's access to learning and educational journey. You will be part of a team of two responsible for supporting the pupil across the school day, as well as adapting existing resources and activities, and producing resources in Braille.
Training will be given in Braille and other specialist learning methods if required. You will work with all subject departments in the school and liaise with a wide range of staff. You will also work closely with the family to help the pupil to make a successful transition to the school and to become a full part of the school community.
